Spectrum Peer Support (“SPS,” “we,” “our,” “us”) is a volunteer-run California Public Benefit Corporation that provides online peer support meetings, community spaces, and resources for neurodivergent adults. By using our website, participating in our meetings, or joining our community spaces, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.
This Policy Covers:
Information
What we collect: things you give us (email, donations, messages), things collected automatically (cookies, analytics), and things shared in meetings or chat.
Use & Protection
How we use your info (services, updates, donations), how it’s stored (with providers, limited time), and steps we take to keep it safe (reasonable measures, no absolute guarantee).
Your Rights
You can request to see or correct your info, unsubscribe from emails, or ask us to delete data when possible. Note: we can’t erase what others may hear in meetings.
Limits
We are not therapy or medical care. We may need to share info in cases of harm, abuse, or legal duty. Services use third-party providers (Zoom, Squarespace, PayPal). Our programs are for adults 18+.
Sharing
We share info only when needed (with service providers or by law). We never sell your information.

C. Information Shared in Peer Spaces
During meetings, chat, or our community Discord, you may choose to share sensitive information.
We do not record meetings or save transcripts without notice.
We cannot control or guarantee what other participants may remember or repeat outside of those spaces.
2. HOW WE USE & PROTECT YOUR DATA
A. Purposes of Use
We use your information to:
Provide services you’ve requested (e.g., send meeting links, process donations)

Maintain and improve our website and community spaces

B. Data Storage & Retention
Information is stored through our service providers (Squarespace, Zoom, PayPal/Stripe, etc.).
We retain data only as long as necessary for its purpose or as required by law.

No online system can be guaranteed 100% secure.
We cannot guarantee absolute confidentiality of what is shared in peer spaces.

A. Accessing and Managing Your Information
You may request to see, correct, or update your personal information by contacting us.
You can unsubscribe from email lists at any time using the link provided in messages.
You may request that we delete your personal information, subject to legal or operational limits.
B. Limits of Control
We cannot remove what others may have heard or seen in peer meetings. Confidentiality is encouraged but not guaranteed.
4. LIMITATIONS & BOUNDARIES
A. Not a Confidential Service
Spectrum Peer Support is peer-led and volunteer-run. We are not licensed clinicians, and our services are not therapy, counseling, or medical care.
B. Mandatory Exceptions
We may need to disclose information if:
Someone expresses an immediate intent to harm themselves or others
We suspect ongoing abuse of a vulnerable individual (e.g., suspected child, elder, or dependent adult)
C. Third-Party Services
We use outside providers (e.g., Squarespace, Zoom, PayPal). Your information is handled under their privacy policies as well as ours.
D. Privacy of Minors
Our programs are for adults 18+. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.
5. SHARING OF INFORMATION
A. Sharing
We only share your data when necessary to operate or if required by law:
With trusted service providers (e.g., donation processors, email platforms)
